Principles of Hermeneutics: “How can I do hermeneutics?”
In this section we will look at three helpful lessons on reading the Bible well.
First, we’ll deal with translations. We’ll talk about which ones are the best translations to use for which types of Bible reading.
Second, we’ll talk about meaning. We’ll discuss the different theories about where meaning resides.
Third and last, we’ll discuss the importance of context. We’ll talk about how context helps us grasp the meaning of a passage. Ready?
