Biola Survival Kit & Surprise Party

So last weekend my roommates decided to give me a surprise birthday party. Basically, the short of it is, I was stunned and totally surprised. They had a group of people, including two friends who each live several hours away, waiting at Red Lobster when we showed up. Quite unexpected. And then Jonathan gave me this Biola Survival Kit, which is hilarious. It’s got a table of contents and everything. There are some more pictures on flickr.

Fish & Snake

I went fishing yesterday morning. I didn’t catch anything. This snake, who thought he had an easy catch, didn’t catch anything either. He eventually left without the fish, which was attached to a stringer, which was tied to a stake. Well, at least I know there are some fish in the lake. Somewhere.

Where is footnote two? I can’t find it anywhere!”

Free Food Day

One perk of being a college student: free food. The problem is, there is no more free food once you graduate. Or so I thought. However, today is National Slurp-Day AND also Cow Appreciation Day. Let me explain. There are free [7.11 ounce] Slurpees at [participating] 7-Eleven stores, and free food at Chick-Fil-A restaurants. The catch? The Slurpees are only available as long as they have enough “Birthday” cups, and the Chick-Fil-A food is only given out to those who show up dressed like a cow. Complete cow costume = full meal. Partial cow costume = free entree. Personally, I have a cow head hat that I’m going to wear to the Chick-Fil-A in the mall this afternoon and I’m going to hunt for a 7-Eleven ASAP.
