About This Site

As can be said of the Internet in general, it is rather hard to define or explain this website. I began learning HTML in 1997 and signed up with a free hosting service or two, then a few more. Eventually I got my own domain name. It’s not really my own domain since my dad pays for it, but I’m the one who uses it. So rheafamily.com is the current location of this site and looks to be for years to come.

Once known only as James’s Website, then One Day, Perspective, and Soap Box, this site now goes by Perspicuous. Clueless as to what the name means? You’re not alone. It’s no wonder, since the word is not very perspicuous itself. Dictionary.com defines it as “clearly expressed or presented; easy to understand.” Perspicuous, as with all of rheafamily.com, is a personal site. I don’t sell anything, don’t host anything, don’t offer any services. Perspicuous should be fully standards compliant, and is made without tables, frames, or those little annoying flashing animated gifs. After switching to a new host (DezignGuy) I now have PHP capabilities and have been having a blast learning new ways to use it.
